Focus and Scope:
WELFARE Jurnal Ilmu Ekonomi is is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scientific articles based on original research (as its main priority) and innovative review articles (as a secondary priority) from academics and researchers. The journal only accepts works that have not been published elsewhere. Its areas of study include Planning Economics, Development Economics, Monetary Economics, Cooperatives and MSMEs, Public Economics, Natural Resource and Environmental Economics, Regional Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Trade Economics, Tourism Economics, Human Resource and Labor Economics, International Economics, Islamic Economics, and Political Economy.

Objective:
To serve as a scholarly platform for publishing original and high-quality research in economics, particularly in areas related to development, planning, and public policy. The journal aims to advance economic knowledge and contribute to the formulation of sustainable and evidence-based economic solutions.

Audience:
Researchers, academics, policymakers, and practitioners in the fields of development economics, public policy, regional and industrial economics, Islamic economics, and other related areas.

Open Access Policy:
Starting from the November 2025 edition, WELFARE: Jurnal Ilmu Ekonomi applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 350,000 for each accepted manuscript. All published articles remain freely accessible online without subscription barriers under the terms of the [Creative Commons License type – e.g., CC BY-SA 4.0]. The APC helps support the journal’s open-access publishing process and long-term sustainability.

Editorial Process:
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer-review process to ensure originality, methodological rigor, and significant contribution to the discipline of economics.
